About the HerRise MicroGrant

Women-owned businesses—including those led by women of color—employ over 10 million people and generate a powerful $3.9 trillion in revenue across the U.S. Yet despite this impact, many still face major hurdles when it comes to securing funding.

Since 2017, the Yva Jourdan Foundation—the nonprofit arm of HerSuiteSpot—has been working to change that. Through the HerRise MicroGrant, they raise funds to help under-resourced women entrepreneurs, including women of color, access the non-equity capital they need to grow, thrive, and take their businesses to the next level.

These microgrants are designed to support real, immediate needs. Past recipients have used the funds for things like computers, equipment, marketing materials, software, websites, and more—giving them the tools to move their businesses forward.

Who It’s For

The HerRise MicroGrant is for women who own small businesses—especially women of color—who could use a little financial boost. If you’re a woman running a business and need help paying for specific things like equipment, a website, or marketing materials, this grant was created with you in mind.

Your business must be:

  • 51% owned by women
  • Currently registered in the U.S.
  • Earning less than $1 million in gross revenue

Note: Non-profits, franchise, direct seller, authorized reseller or independent consultant not eligible.
